Proposal Manager/ Marketing Manager

The role of the Proposal Manager is to ensure that the all of the company’s /client’s proposals are fully executed from start to finish. This involves coordinating the proposal process, preparing the actual proposal document in InDesign and Word files, and editing them throughout the process (with feedback from the client). The Proposal Manager often works on tight deadlines and has to communicate and delegate tasks required to complete a proposal, such as writing, editing and other efforts associated with the process.

The Marketing Manager role is a comprehensive communications and graphics role that include many facets of strategic marketing planning and implementation: website updates, social media account management, writing, graphic design layout of brochures, ads, etc. The expectation is that the Marketing Manager can work with the marketing team cohesively but also communicate directly with clients when necessary. Project accounts must be managed in an organized, professional, and timeline-driven manner. This role requires multi-tasking, clear communication, and a love for working with clients and team members.

 

Proposal Manager/Marketing Manager Skills

A Proposal Manager must be extremely organized and have excellent writing skills. They must also be able to supervise and train supporting staff, prepare presentations and schedule meetings with clients to discuss and negotiate proposal details and timelines. They must be able to take direction and comply with RFQ/RFP criteria as well as client requests. They must be able to clearly articulate what is needed, who is responsible for each portion, and recommend the best presentation of materials in a document response or presentation format.

Minimum Expectations:

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, English, Communications, Graphic Design or similar

  • 3-5 Years of experience in proposal writing, marketing projects, and technical industries like architecture, engineering, construction (preferred)

  • Well-spoken, team-player, very organized, great communicator!

  • Passion for small business, supporting company growth, and having fun while working hard!
